Seafarers' Service provides support in many ways
Within the Swedish Maritime Administration, there is the Seafarers' Service unit, which works with support for crew members on Swedish and foreign vessels as well as for groups related to the maritime labor market. The operations are divided into the areas of Port Service, Seafarers' Club Activities, Sports, the Seafarers' Library, and Media, focusing on providing seafarers with an active and meaningful leisure time – both on board and ashore.

Job Responsibilities
As a temporary Location Representative at Kaknäs Seamen's Center, you will work with vessels visiting Stockholm's ports or nearby ports. You will visit the vessels and inform them about the Seafarers' Service operations. You will transport crew members to Kaknäs, to the city, or to other activities. You will exchange library materials on board and share general information regarding the Seafarers' Service operations. The job also includes general services such as property maintenance, cleaning, reception, and cash handling, among others. Working hours may include daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a high school diploma and an interest in activating and motivating others to leisure and sports activities. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a prerequisite, as well as a good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. A driving license (B) is required.

It is an advantage if you have experience in customer service or have organized/instructed leisure and sports activities.

You are open and genuinely interested in other people and cultures and have an easy time making contact. You also have good prioritization skills, can handle stressful situations, and are stimulated by varying tasks from day to day. As a temporary employee, you need to be flexible and able to step in when needed, which can be during the day as well as in the evenings and weekends.

This recruitment concerns a temporary position as needed that should be filled as soon as possible and will last for a maximum of 12 months from the start date.
